Volunteers are needed for the upcoming Serving Our Seniors morning of work on Saturday, March 22, 2025. We will be partnering up with local high school Interact clubs in these efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in our community and provide various services to local senior citizens in need of assistance.
Interfaith also asks that all volunteers arrive at 7:30am (on Saturday, March 22th) at the following address:
Typically the work day lasts until 10:30am, so it should not consume your entire Saturday.
Volunteers should be expected to perform projects such as:
Please let me know if you plan on attending! If you do plan to attend, please complete the attached Volunteer Registration form and return to me before March 7th. I will be responsible for communicating the total number of volunteers back to Interfaith, so just let me know if you would like to join!.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a volunteer organization that builds beds for kids sleeping on the floor. Founded in 2021 by Mike Fortner, Tom Michel, and Rotarian Will Warren, SHP Montgomery County provides hand-crafted beds and donates them to families in need. To receive a bed, there is a nonfinancial background check or economic review. However, families in need must apply for the free sleeping accommodations.
SHP typically holds three events monthly: a bed build day, a bed prep evening, and a bed delivery day.
