The Woodlands Rotary Club Foundation
The Woodlands Rotary Club Foundation oversees charitable funds, provides scholarships, and funds a medical housing facility, Rotary House of The Woodlands.
Purpose and Mission
The foundation’s mission is to manage and grow funds entrusted to it and to make charitable funding available for qualified beneficiaries selected by the Rotary Club of The Woodlands. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the foundation.
Core Service Areas
The Woodlands Rotary Club has six primary areas of focus, which the foundation supports through gifts of time, talent, and treasure:
Peace and conflict resolution/prevention
Disease prevention and treatment
Water and sanitation
Maternal and child care
Basic education and literacy
Economic and community development
These areas guide the foundation’s grantmaking and charitable activities.
Notable Programs
Rotary House: Provides up to 90 days of housing for medically limited patients and their families traveling to The Woodlands for treatment.
Rotary Duplex within the Angel Reach Village: One of 16 fully furnished, two-bedroom duplexes that provide 32 homes for youth who have aged out of the foster care system, as well as those who are at risk of homelessness between the ages of 18 and 24.
Scholarships: Review of high school and Lone Star College applications to award scholarships embodying the Rotary motto “Service Above Self”.
International and Local Grants: Funding for Rotary International initiatives (e.g., End Polio Now), the Balanya English Academy in Guatemala, and local charities like the Journey School Christmas Project and End Hungry Now.
Rotary House Medical Housing Support: Recent grant of $100,000 in 2025
