Administration Login   Photo Album   Album Name Date Description   Namumu Orphange Center – Zambia Aug 25, 2010 Namumu Orphanage Centre is a community-based program in Siavonga, Zambia with 80 children in residence. The program at Namumu emphasizes developing self-reliance in the children, who are mostly orphans. They are taught practical skills, such as fishing, gardening and tending pigs, as well as class work. There is also a Namumu community school which has now become a regional magnet. Rotary International promoted eradicating polio to World Health Organization in 1980’s & contributed hundreds of millions of dollars & millions of volunteer hours to eradication program. Polio decreased over last 15 years from 350,000+ cases to less than 350 cases/year as direct result of Rotary involvement. The presentation looked at a coordinated effort by Montgomery County in receiving assistance from local volunteers in times of disasters such as hurricanes, natural disasters, and terrorist activities.  View  Interfaith award presented to Dr. Ann Snyder Jul 10, 2008 Interfaith Director Dr. Ann Snyder, receives a check for $2,500 from Rotarian Andy Cox during the Rotary Club of The Woodlands meeting on July 10, 2008. Dr. Snyder thanked fellow Rotarians for the generous gift telling them the money will be used to assist families in need.  View  Rotary Work Day Apr 17, 2008 The first of several work days was on April 15th to remove and replace a failed drive with a collapsed open trench drain at the home of a single woman, the sole provider for her blind cousin.
